Why Organic

Many years ago, most of us did not worry, or to be perfectly honest, care all that much, about where our food came from, or what was in it.

Those were the sweet days of yesterday, long before we became aware of GMO’s, or genetically modified organisms, and the abundant overuse of dangerous  pesticides and their short and long-term deleterious effects on all living things, Human, plant and animal alike.

Those were the days of innocent eating, or food consumption.

Well wake up.

Those days are long gone.

Monsanto and their greedy Comrades, have created a whole new world and they are in nearly complete control of it and our Global food supplies.

Here is a link to one of the most definitive answers to the question, Why buy Organic”

Consumer Reports – When to Buy Organic food

Years ago,  I heard a suggestion/comment on a morning show that stuck, about when or why to buy Organic: ” If it wears its own coat, don’t spend the extra money for Organic.”

My thought at that time was, if food is only safe when it has a thick covering, like a banana, what does that say about our food supplies in general?

How do we really  know that toxins, or pesticides, are not permeating the thick “coats”  of our  food?

Each day, I become  more and more convinced, that if we are not quite vigilant in this Issue, we may quite likely see future generations of Humans, plants and animals with disturbing and disfiguring deformations, that will eventually be traced back to food borne toxins.

But by then, it may be too late.

Genetic  changes take a very, very long time and that dear readers, goes both ways!
